Counselling is a way for you to explore areas of your life that are not working for you. We often find it difficult to understand where a sense of emptiness or lack of purpose is coming from. Sometimes we are all too aware of where the pain is coming from but don’t know how to move forward. I believe that we all have it in ourselves to heal. Sometimes we just need a little help to work through some of our challenging thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

FAQs
Together we can make sense of what is causing you distress and help you to find a way to move forward.
“In any given moment we have two options: to step forward into growth or to step back into safety”.

I offer a FREE initial consultation either over the telephone or online. It is vital that you feel that your counsellor is the right fit for you. This initial chat not only helps me to understand the areas you wish to work through but allows you to get a sense of whether you would feel comfortable working with me.
Counselling sessions last an hour and are charged at £45 per session. I offer either short term or longer-term counselling. Sessions tend to be either weekly or fortnightly, whatever works best for you.
I work with clients over the telephone and online as well as face to face counselling from a therapy suite in Derwentside. I am also happy to provide ‘walk and talk’ therapy sessions in the peaceful environment of the Derwent Valley.
